On October 19, 2007, the Commission filed a civil action in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York against: two short sellers, Zev Saltsman and Menachem Eitan; two former officers and directors of Xybernaut Corporation, <a href=\"http:\/\/contracts.onecle.com\/xybernaut\/newman.emp.2003.04.29.shtml\">Edward G. Newman<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/contracts.onecle.com\/xybernaut\/newman.emp.2003.01.01.shtml\">Steven A. Newman<\/a>; a former director of Xybernaut and outside counsel to Xybernaut and Ramp Corporation, Martin E. Weisberg; and Ramp&#8217;s former CEO, <a href=\"http:\/\/contracts.onecle.com\/ramp\/brown-emp-2004-06-01.shtml\">Andrew Brown<\/a>. The Commission&#8217;s complaint charges the defendants with engaging in a scheme to conceal Saltsman and Eitan&#8217;s control over Ramp and Xybernaut.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I have added <a href=\"http:\/\/contracts.onecle.com\/alpha\/7110.shtml\">Xybernaut Corporation contracts<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/contracts.onecle.com\/alpha\/7932.shtml\">Ramp Corporation contracts<\/a> to the website.
