The dividend has risen every year for the past 10 years at a 12% clip. The company is sporting its lowest P\/E in its lifetime. So, why not buy?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>After last year&#8217;s Putnam fiasco, you would think that parent Marsh &#038; McLennan would clean up their act or stop doing business in New York.  Well, neither of those two happened, so New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer sued Marsh &#8211; this time for bid-rigging.  Damages?  So far, over $10 billion in market cap.  Ouch!  <b>BusinessWeek<\/b> also has an interesting article about this:  <a href=\"http:\/\/biz.yahoo.com\/bizwk\/041022\/b3906001mz001_1.html\">The Secret World of Marsh Mac<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You can find the employment agreement for <a href=\"http:\/\/contracts.onecle.com\/mmc\/greenberg.emp.1999.03.25.shtml\">Jeffrey Greenberg<\/a> of <a href=\"http:\/\/contracts.onecle.com\/alpha\/1918.shtml\">Marsh &#038; McLennan<\/a> on the web site.  I&#8217;ve also posted the employment agreement for <a href=\"http:\/\/contracts.onecle.com\/ace\/greenberg.emp.2001.10.29.shtml\">Evan Greenberg<\/a> of <a href=\"http:\/\/contracts.onecle.com\/alpha\/24.shtml\">ACE Ltd.<\/a>, which was also named in the suit.  <a href=\"http:\/\/contracts.onecle.com\/alpha\/156.shtml\">AIG contracts<\/a> are also available, but no employment agreement from dad Maurice Greenberg.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Motley Fool: Is Marsh Ringing the Value Bell?
