HouseValue&#8217;s S-1 Registration Statement, which was originally filed on September 1, 2004, vanished from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sec.gov\/cgi-bin\/browse-edgar?type=S-1&#038;dateb=&#038;owner=include&#038;action=getcompany&#038;CIK=0001298978\">EDGAR<\/a>.  Where did it go?  Today, HouseValues submitted an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1298978\/000119312505054368\/0001193125-05-054368-index.htm\">amended version<\/a> of the original filing.  Previously, I had assumed that EDGAR was an archive of all securities filings.  I didn&#8217;t realize that a securities filing could be deleted from EDGAR.  Nevertheless, the original filing remains available from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.secinfo.com\/d14D5a.14J56.htm\">SEC Info<\/a> as well as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hoovers.com\/housevalues\/--ID__135933,ipage__2976110--\/free-co-secoutline.xhtml\">Hoover&#8217;s Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, I noticed EDGAR&#8217;s disappearing act.
