The SEC accused former Chief Executive Charles Conaway and former Chief Financial Officer John McDonald of making materially false and misleading disclosures about the company’s liquidity and related matters in its quarterly report for the third quarter ended Oct. 31, 2001.
CBS News/AP: WorldSpace Climbs in Trading Debut . Shares of satellite radio broadcaster WorldSpace Inc. rose from the initial public offering price Thursday, the stock’s first day of trading. The stock ended the day at $23.36, up 11 percent from its offering price of $21 on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
